If the fear mongering, inane and hateful responses on Yahoo!Answers are an indication, I’d say yes.

The economy is not recovering. The Democratic bailout of the health insurance industry may pass, but I refuse to purchase the health insurance you fascist thugs are ordering me to purchase.
All the Democratic Congress has accomplished in 4 years is War, economic ruin, and the destruction of the Constitution and Bill of Rights. This country has had 4 years too many of the Democratic Party.

Tell the millions of people who are out of work that the economy is improving. As for socialized medicine, remember what Yogi Berra said. “It ain’t over until it’s over.”
Consider this: The GDP was at 13 trillion when Bush was president in 2007. It dropped to an average rate of 10 trillion. If the average GDP goes to 10.1 trillion, does that look like improvement to you? It does not to me.
