What Are The Main Differences Between The Democrat’s Position On Healthcare Reform Vs. The Republicans?

I am interested in knowing more on why the Republicans object to the version of healthcare reform that Democrats want to pass. I know the Republicans don’t want a government run public option, but are there other points of contention between the parties?

The GOP has its own plan. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-usmvYOPf… And during the eight long years that Bush the second was in power, they did not bring it in. http://www.gop.gov/solutions/healthcare As for why they are against it, that is because most of them, like some Democrats, have taken thirty pieces of silver from the (un)insurance companies.
FACT – Insurance companies in the USA admit to pushing up prices, buying politicians and not paying out claims when they should [1]
FACT – PER PERSON the USA spends more on healthcare than any other nation on the planet [2]
FACT – Obama debated his plans before the election for healthcare [3]
FACT – the chance of a child under five of dying in the USA is greater than industrialised nations with universal health coverage [4]
FACT – Obama was elected by the American people to bring in change [5]
FACT – Obama wants to stop insurance companies from screwing American [6]
FACT – The reforms Obama wants work in the Netherlands and Switzerland [7]
Let me know if my facts are wrong, but please provide proof.

The main point of contention is that the Democrats are going to take 500 million from the Medicare budget and transfer it elsewhere. This means healthcare will be denied the elderly, disabled, and sick. With the Democrat plan, the government will have access to your savings, retirement funds, stocks and any monies or wealth you have and they will be able to take it at will. The Democrats plan to mandate coverage and treatments to insurance companies to run them out of business. They won’t allow them to raise rates but will make it legal for you to buy health insurance when you have some disease or need healthcare. Won’t be long before the only thing left is government care. Also, if you are young and healthy thinking this doesn’t apply to you…..think again. If you are in a car accident, the government may decide you are too expensive to fix and pull the plug on you.

Dems are willing to take anything at all if it is called ‘health reform’ without reading it for themselves. Republicans and independents aren’t.
The government has no Constituitonal power to force 300 million people to enrich insurance companies and big Pharma by being required to purchase sucky policies they would never have chosen for themselves. And medicare being cut $500 billion just as those who paid in all their lives get up to the point of needing the expensive care shows precisely why government should not be trusted with our health care.
The question is, why on earth do Dems who know what is in the bill want it to be passed?
And most PEOPLE I know don’t care about ‘government run option’ in the scheme of things. Once government has designed the sucky policy and limited our choices to what we can get, and shielded the committee deciding what is ‘cost effective’ enough to be given out as health care, and drastically raised the premiums, it is little matter who administers the sucky policy.
Who protects us from our government? At least now we can sue insurers.
